English-born and Australian-raised singer/songwriter Daisy Hicks has been making serious waves throughout the UK, Europe and parts of Asia over the last 5 years.

Music has always been apart of Daisy's life! Her father is the legendary jazz drummer Tony Hicks (Backdoor, Chris Rea, Lu Lu, Paul Butterfield, Georgie Fame), her cousin is the international recording artist and unforgettable guitarist Chris Rea and her uncle is a renowned Opera singer and theater promoter, Tano Rea. Some of her first memories were in Los Angeles where her father's band was recording their first US album.

Classically training in Australia, Daisy began her music career as a jazz singer, touring Australia, America and even played at Disneyland with the Forest High Big Band at 14 years old. When back in Sydney, she was entertaining basketball fans at Sydney King's games and captivating audiences at some of the leading music venues in Australia.

At 19, Daisy deviated from tradition and an aspiring jazz career to expand her horizons and gain broader influences overseas. Landing in London, she quickly jumped into the thick of things with her first taste of the Pop and R&B world with Concept Music.

Daisy worked with Aron Friedman (Backstreet Boys, Take That, Elton John) to write, produce and release her first CD - Mistress with Concept Music. She has also worked with George MacFarlane (Gabrielle, Sting) and Tim Ellis (Samaya, Amor, Com'n Rail).

During her tenure with Concept, Daisy broke into the UK, European and Japanese markets with her acclaimed single and video Don't Even Go There, 2 further single releases, extensive live performances and TV and Radio appearances all supported the well-received CD release of Mistress.

Deals with JVC and Fuji in Japan led to the release of Mistress and 3 singles to the Asian market. Many of her songs are still play-listed on Capitol FM in the UK and stations throughout Japan.

While in the UK, Daisy trained with the leading vocal trainers in the world - London-based Glynn Jones (Natalie Cole, Annie Lennox, Anita Baker) and NY-based Kenny Hicks (Mariah Carey, Whitney Huston, Celine Dion).

Daisy has also shared the stage with Boy George, Gloria Gaynor, Womack and Womack, Gabriel and more recently with Jenny Morris and Aussie legends Dragon and she has played countless festivals, live performances and corporate gigs around the world.

According to Marie Claire UK "Daisy is a remarkable singer and gifted songwriter whose music is laced with eclectic influences ranging from silky jazz, soulful funk to soaring ballads".

Daisy has recently recorded and produced her second CD. Working with Malcolm Maddock (Shania Twain, Stevie Wonder), George MacFarlane (Gabrielle), UK producer Tim Ellis and Australian producer Matt Fell, the new CD is a true depiction of her vocal prowess, captivating tone, song-writing talent and evolution of her sound.

Daisy has recently singed a licensing deal with UK-based label Aardvark Records - who specialize in establishing sub-licensing deals throughout the world.

Daisy's award-winning video (produced by Clara Chong and Ben Allan - Lightning Poet Films) is set to air on I AM TV and PMC and will reach over 25 countries around the world including: Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Australia, New Zealand, UK, USA, Canada, The Middle East and parts of Africa in September.

After loosing her father to lung cancer last year and taking some time away from the limelight, Daisy has returned and is back in the studio working with Australian producer Matt Fell, putting the finaly touches on the album, producing her second video and gearing up for the international release of her new album in a number of territories around the world later this year.

Daisy is currently resides in Sydney for the moment but will be relocating to Asia to support the upcoming release of the new album, videos and for extensive live performances.

Daisy is available for live performances, corporate gigs, interviews and appearances.  Contact her management for more information - promotions@daisyhicks.com.

Her music has been heard by millions of people throughout Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Europe and Japan and is set to become everyone's favorite flower around the world.
